FYI: BMW’s 2025 i4 Refresh Brings Subtle Design Tweaks and Improved Features
The BMW i4 is set to receive a mid-cycle update for the 2025 model year. This refresh aligns it with the changes to the BMW 4-Series Gran Coupe, two-door 4-Series coupe and convertible, and the high-performance M4.
Subtle Exterior Changes
Previewed in April, the updated i4 showcases minor adjustments to its exterior design. While these changes are minimal, they include newly revised headlights and taillights featuring laser-lit accents, akin to those on the limited-edition M4 CSL. The range now also boasts new exterior color options and wheel designs.

Interior Enhancements
Inside the cabin, the i4 receives a fresh steering wheel design and new trim options, including brushed aluminum and various open-pore wood finishes. BMW’s updated iDrive 8.5 interface shines through a curved digital display, which includes a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Standard features now include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while a head-up display remains an available option.
Model Lineup and Pricing
The single-motor rear-wheel drive i4 eDrive35, previously the base model for 2024, is notably absent from the 2025 i4 lineup. As a result, the more potent eDrive40 rear-wheel drive variant now stands as the entry model.
