FYI: General Motors has unveiled the pricing for the upcoming 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, with production pegged to start soon.
Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Pricing Announced
General Motors has officially revealed the pricing details for the much-anticipated 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, with customer orders opening in mid-February. Car enthusiasts can secure the base 1LZ coupe for a starting price of $174,995. For those who prefer a convertible, the cost begins at $184,995, inclusive of the $1,695 destination fee. An upscale 3LZ trim is on offer, which includes luxury perks like heated and cooled Nappa leather seats, a high-definition front camera, and a four-speaker Bose audio system. This premium version sees the price rise to $185,995 for the coupe and $195,995 for the convertible.
Power and Performance
All Corvette ZR1 models boast a formidable twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V-8 engine, delivering a staggering 1,064 horsepower and 828 pound-feet of torque. This powertrain links to a specifically modified eight-speed automatic transmission, channeling power exclusively to the rear wheels.
For performance aficionados, an optional $8,495 carbon fiber aero package enhances the ZR1 with a high-downforce rear wing, front dive plane, underbody strakes, and a front hood spoiler, collectively generating up to 1,200 pounds of downforce. This package is a prerequisite for the ZTK Performance Package, which further sharpens track readiness with stiffer springs and advanced magnetic damper calibration, paired with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires designed for close to their maximum grip.
Record-Setting Capabilities
This performance combo allows the 2025 Corvette ZR1 to tear down the quarter-mile in a record 9.6 seconds and achieve a 0-60 mph sprint in just 2.3 seconds—marking a new record for production Corvettes. The base version maintains respectable figures, completing the 0-60 mph dash in 2.5 seconds and the quarter-mile in 9.7 seconds, with a top trap speed of 152 mph. Despite aerodynamic drag penalties, the ZR1 impressively achieves a top speed of 333 mph.
Production Outlook
Production of the ZR1 is slated to begin in the second quarter of the coming year at the revered Bowling Green, Kentucky, assembly plant, where other Corvette models are crafted.
