2025 Chevrolet Corvette: New ZR1 Joins the Line-Up with Significant Performance Boost
The Chevrolet Corvette’s 2025 model year arrives with minimal changes, yet enough to excite performance enthusiasts, thanks to the introduction of a new generation ZR1.
Continuity and Fresh Introductions
The 2025 Corvette lineup persists with the Stingray, E-Ray, and Z06 models, each carrying over from the previous year with little alteration. However, the introduction of the ZR1 brings a notable addition to the esteemed range. Pricing updates are a key change for 2025.
Price Adjustments and Model Options
A representative from Chevrolet confirmed that the base model Stingray will maintain its price of $69,995 for 2025. Meanwhile, the electrified E-Ray starts at $108,595, and the high-performance Z06 begins at $113,795. Each price includes a destination charge of $1,695. The E-Ray and Z06 have experienced a $2,000 price increase from last year. Convertible versions remain available across all models for an additional $7,000.
The Majestic ZR1
Expected in showrooms next year, the newly revealed ZR1 stands out with a starting price likely in the upper $100,000 range, and fully loaded versions possibly exceeding $200,000 – a first for America’s sports car. Equipped with a formidable 1,064 hp sourced from a twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V-8, the ZR1’s power is unmatched within this lineup.
The latest ZR1 also boasts a unique split rear window, paying homage to the 1963 Corvette design while offering aerodynamic benefits. An optional ZTK Performance Package enhances downforce to an impressive 1,200 pounds through additional aerodynamic tweaks.
Model Specifications
The Corvette Stingray remains an impressive sports car with its 6.2-liter V-8 engine producing 490 hp as standard, and up to 495 hp with a performance exhaust system. Launched in 2024, the Corvette E-Ray blends a 160-hp front-mounted electric motor with the Stingray’s V-8, generating a total of 655 hp and featuring an all-wheel drive system. It also shares a wider body with the Z06, extending by 3.6 inches.
The Z06, which debuted in 2023 and earned the Motor Authority Best Car to Buy award, presents a naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V-8 engine delivering 670 hp. Known as the LT6, this engine achieves its power without forced induction, marking it as the most powerful naturally aspirated V-8 in production vehicles.
New Features and Enhancements
For 2025, Chevrolet introduces new exterior paint options, including Competition Yellow Tintcoat Metallic and Hysteria Purple Metallic, with Habanero interior trim and blue contrast stitching on a black interior available. Brake calipers can now be finished in Velocity Yellow. Additionally, the Z51 Performance Package for the Stingray includes a new spoiler, and the Z06 offers 10-spoke wheels with four paint finishes.
All models in the 2025 Corvette lineup, including the ZR1, feature an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle.
