FYI: A forgotten 1986 DeLorean is rediscovered in a Wisconsin barn, sparking excitement as it gets restored for a new lease on life.
The Lost DeLorean: Rediscovery and Restoration
In an incredible discovery straight out of a movie, a father-son duo in rural Wisconsin stumbled upon a relic from the past: a 1986 DeLorean. Almost 40 years after it was last driven, the time-worn vehicle was found languishing under decades of dust in a barn, as if waiting for its next adventure.
The car gained instant fame on Not Normal Nick’s popular car YouTube channel, where the pair documented their breathtaking find. As they pried open the broken door handle with pliers, a scene reminiscent of ‘Back to the Future’ unfolded before them—taking viewers on a nostalgic ride into the automotive and pop culture of the 1980s.
A Journey Back to Glory
Taking the car back to their workshop, the team embarked on a meticulous mission to restore the DeLorean to its former glory. A deep-clean revealed the iconic stainless-steel finish beneath the neglect, showcasing the vehicle’s sleek and timeless design. Although this marks the third DeLorean in their possession, Nick affectionately refers to it as an indispensable piece of their collection—an allure too irresistible to dismiss.
DeLorean Resurrection: A Trend Among Enthusiasts
They’re not alone. DeLorean restorations have become something of a respected trend among car enthusiasts, routinely breathing new life into these iconic machines after decades of dormancy. Each restoration more thrilling than the last, capturing imaginations worldwide and proving that the spirit of ‘Back to the Future’ lives on.
While Marty McFly and Doc Brown remain fictional specters, their mythical ride continues to inspire real-world narratives of discovery and renewal. Hey, someone tell Doc his time machine’s been found!
