FYI: The celebrated Aston Martin Vanquish has triumphantly returned after a six-year break, marking its third generation with record-breaking performance and impeccable design.
2025 Aston Martin Vanquish: The King Returns
Aston Martin has revived the iconic Vanquish nameplate after a six-year slumber, taking the luxury sports car world by storm. This revival marks its third generation, redefining the benchmark for the brand with what is touted as the fastest series production car ever built by the esteemed Gaydon-based automaker. Here’s everything you need to know about this automotive masterpiece.
Engineering Marvel
Built on a newly developed bonded aluminium chassis, the 2025 Vanquish stands out not just for its performance but also its structural integrity. The chassis is an impressive 75% stiffer compared to the DBS 770 Ultimate, complemented by a wheelbase extended by 80 mm.
Stunning Design
The Vanquish’s design follows the traditional Aston Martin aesthetic with some modern twists. The elongated hood, short overhangs, and flared wheel arches give it a muscular yet refined appearance. Key design highlights include:
- Grille and Headlamps: A low-slung grille and updated LED headlamps.
- Bonnet and Vents: A sculpted bonnet with extractor vents and redesigned fender vents.
- Rear Fascia: A striking string of LED lights, carbon fiber central section, integrated ducktail, and a large diffuser housing quad exhausts.
Luxurious Interior
Inside, drivers are met with a robust 3-spoke steering wheel and an expansive center console. The Vanquish’s interior is packed with advanced tech, boasting a 10.25-inch touchscreen and a similarly sized digital gauge cluster.
Powerhouse of Performance
Under the hood, you’ll find a heavily revised 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine. This beast is equipped with a stronger cylinder block, optimized conrods, redesigned cylinder heads, re-profiled camshafts, and new intake/exhaust ports. The powerhouse delivers an astounding 824 hp at 6500 rpm and 738 lb-ft of torque between 2500-5000 rpm.
The engine pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission, distributing power to the rear axle via an electronic limited-slip differential (eLSD). An innovative Boost Reserve function enhances turbo pressure momentarily for full power, crucial for overtaking.
Performance Specs
- 0-60 mph: 3.2 seconds
- Top Speed: 214 mph
- Drive Modes: Wet, Sport, Sport Plus, Track, and Individual
Premium Handling and Safety
The 2025 Vanquish rides on 21-inch forged alloy wheels shod in Pirelli P Zero tires (275/35 front, 325/30 rear). It boasts impressive stopping power with carbon-ceramic brakes measuring 410 mm in the front and 360 mm in the rear.
Limited Production
In a nod to exclusivity, production of the 2025 Vanquish is capped at just 1,000 units per year, with deliveries kicking off in Q4 of 2024.
