FYI: The 2025 Cadillac Lyriq Sees Pricing Adjustments and Trim Changes
Pricing details for the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq have been unveiled, offering a blend of good news for prospective buyers. Cadillac has decided to phase out its entry-level Tech trim next year, impacting the vehicle’s pricing structure.
Significant Changes
The Tech trim, which made the Lyriq accessible at a lower entry price of $58,590, will be discontinued. This trim omitted several features like the Driving Assist package, adaptive cruise control, high-definition surround vision camera, and more. Due to these exclusions, buyers were missing out on adaptive headlights, multi-color interior ambient lighting, a heated steering wheel, illuminated door handles, and several other premium features.
2025 Model Pricing Breakdown
For the 2025 model year, the entry-level price will see an increase by the discontinuation of the Tech grade, but only by $1,000. This means the new base price for accessing all the premium benefits starts just under $60,000, inclusive of shipping. Thanks to a price reduction strategy, the broader trim lineup benefits from a reduced MSRP:
- Luxury 1: $59,990 ($2,700 less)
- Sport 1: $61,090 ($2,100 less)
- Luxury 2: $64,990 ($2,000 less)
- Sport 2: $65,490 ($2,000 less)
- Luxury 3: $68,390 ($2,200 less)
- Sport 3: $68,890 ($2,200 less)
Each of these trims is equipped with rear-wheel drive featuring a single motor on the rear axle, generating 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. Opting for an all-wheel-drive setup adds $3,500, results in dual motors, and boosts power to 500 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. The highest tier Sport 3 AWD peaks at $72,390 without additional options.
Color Options and New Features
The 2025 color palette will remain mostly the same but with some adjustments. For instance, the Luxury trim will no longer offer Nimbus Metallic and Opulent Blue Metallic, while the Sport trim drops Celestial Metallic and Emerald Lake Metallic.
Additionally, Cadillac has introduced a few new features and options:
- Standard memory presets for the passenger seat.
- An optional Cargo Convenience package, including roof rack cross rails, a cargo net for the load area, and a load area organizer.
- Alloy-accented pedals included with the Nappa Leather package.
- Blue, Bronze, and Red Accent packages, each offering 22-inch black wheels with matching vehicle decals.
Conclusion
The 2025 Cadillac Lyriq presents a refined blend of luxury, power, and customization options, ensuring buyers can enjoy a premium driving experience. With the exclusion of the Tech trim, the Lyriq positions itself as a more feature-rich option, addressing the needs of discerning consumers.
