FYI: Tesla has officially rolled out its Autopark feature for the Cybertruck, marking the first step in equipping the pickup with the complete Autopilot and Full Self-Driving suites.
Tesla’s Cybertruck Debuts Autopark Feature
Tesla has officially launched the Autopark feature for its highly-anticipated Cybertruck, marking a significant milestone as the automaker gears up to implement the full Autopilot and Full Self-Driving (FSD) suites in the futuristic pickup.
### Adaptation to Cybertruck’s Unique Design
The Cybertruck’s unique design and features, including its heightened ride height, have necessitated adjustments to Tesla’s usual Autopilot and FSD capabilities. These modifications have delayed the initial rollout of the full FSD suite for the Cybertruck.
### Promising the First FSD Feature: Autopark
Tesla has been hinting at the activation of Autopark for several months, with initial plans for a late August release that faced minor setbacks. However, the feature has now been rolled out, fulfilling Tesla’s promise to Cybertruck owners.
### Twitter Announcement
Last night, Sawyer Merritt, a prominent Tesla enthusiast, announced the rollout on Twitter:

### How Autopark Works
According to Tesla’s release notes:
> “Your vehicle can now automatically park — and parallel park — in designated spaces. When driving at low speed, potential parking spaces will be highlighted on your display. Autopark will suggest a space with a ‘P’ symbol, but you can choose from any highlighted spaces. To initiate parking, stop the vehicle, press Start, and let go of the steering wheel so it can move freely. For more details, refer to the Owner’s Manual.
>
> As with all Autopilot features, you must continue to pay attention and be ready to take immediate action, including canceling Autopark by pressing the brake or taking control of the steering wheel.”
### Subscription Requirements
To access this feature, Cybertruck owners must have purchased or subscribed to Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (Supervised) program.
### Conclusion
The rollout of Autopark for the Cybertruck is the first tangible step towards fully integrating Tesla’s groundbreaking FSD technology with the innovative design of the Cybertruck. Tesla continues to push the boundaries of automotive technology, ensuring their latest vehicles are equipped with cutting-edge features.
