## 2025 Acura RDX: Fresh Looks and Enhanced Features
Acura has treated its best-selling RDX compact crossover to a series of updates for the 2025 model year. Though the touchpad for the infotainment system remains unchanged, the new model boasts several aesthetic and functional improvements. The 2025 Acura RDX is expected to hit showrooms later this month, with pricing information to be announced closer to its release.
### A Bold New Exterior
For 2025, the Acura RDX receives a refreshed appearance that includes a striking frameless grille with a refined mesh pattern. New wheel designs debut this year, featuring standard 19-inch wheels and an optional 20-inch set available with the A-Spec model. Customers can now choose from three additional color options: Solar Silver Metallic, Canyon River Blue Metallic, and Urban Gray Pearl.
### Interior Enhancements
Inside, the RDX welcomes a slew of refinements. The center console has been redesigned to offer more storage space and larger cup holders, while access to the wireless phone charger has been made more convenient.
The familiar 10.2-inch infotainment screen now supports a new widescreen mode for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, giving users a more immersive experience. Moreover, models equipped with the Advance package will benefit from full leather trim and extra ambient lighting that extends to the speakers mounted on the door.
### Performance and Technology
Under the hood, the 2025 RDX retains its powerful and efficient setup. The vehicle is powered by a 272-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. This configuration drives all four wheels via a rear-biased all-wheel-drive system capable of transferring up to 70% of the engine’s torque to the rear axle and 100% to each individual rear wheel for enhanced cornering.
Every RDX model comes standard with a sport-tuned suspension, which can be upgraded with optional adaptive dampers for a more customizable ride experience.
### Looking Ahead
For enthusiasts craving even more performance, Acura has hinted at a sportier Type-S model in its future line-up, although this variant is not expected to be part of the RDX range until a complete redesign is introduced.
### Market Position and Availability
The current generation of the Acura RDX has been on the market since 2019, enjoying robust sales with approximately 40,000 units sold in the U.S. last year. The refined 2025 model is poised to maintain this momentum, addressing both aesthetic and practical preferences of modern drivers.
The 2025 Acura RDX will be available in dealerships later this month. Stay tuned for the official pricing announcement and more detailed reviews.
