FYI: The Pagani Huayra is an exceptional blend of art and engineering prowess, drawing inspiration from the Zonda and paying homage to the Andean wind god Huayra-Tata through its aerodynamic design.
A Masterpiece in Motion
The Pagani Huayra stands as an epitome of automotive luxury and performance by harmonizing art with meticulous engineering. Named after the Andean deity of winds, Huayra-Tata, this vehicle reflects a design that dances with the elements. With active aerodynamic flaps and precision suspension, it achieves unparalleled performance, encapsulating Horacio Pagani’s vision.
Pagani Huayra BC: A Tribute on Wheels
In 2016, Pagani unveiled the Huayra BC, a track-oriented celebration named after Benny Caiola, the marque’s first esteemed client. This variant echoes the raw spirit of the Zonda R and Zonda Cinque, boasting a formidable 753 horsepower engine partnered with a precise single-clutch seven-speed gearbox.
Engineering Innovations and Weight Reduction
The Huayra BC incorporates groundbreaking materials and techniques to enhance performance. Employing the Carbo-Triax material, a titanium exhaust system, and a stripped-down interior contributes to a stunning 130-kilogram weight reduction. Aerodynamically, it distinguishes itself with a fixed rear wing and an assertive front splitter, further optimizing its track capabilities.
Exclusive Production and Auction Spotlight
This masterpiece is a rare jewel, with only 20 units produced. One such gem, chassis number 76130, a 2017 model, is set to headline an auction at RM Sotheby’s in Dubai on December 1. Featuring an exterior of exposed carbon fiber and vivid orange highlights, including its brake calipers, it’s a visual stunner. Recently, in August 2019, routine maintenance confirmed this vehicle’s low mileage of just 1,550 kilometers.
Upgrades for Unmatched Performance
In 2021, during the Monterey Car Week, Pagani introduced the ‘Pacchetto Tempesta’ package for the Huayra BC, elevating its already formidable track prowess. This package included a redesigned front splitter, a reimagined rear wing with a central fin, a distinctive six-pipe exhaust, refined suspension components, and a powertrain upgrade to 827 horsepower, pushing the boundaries even further.
Artistry in Automotive Design
The interior of chassis 76130 is a testament to tasteful precision, featuring orange-accented leather, intricate stitching, and elegantly designed steering wheel details. The black Alcantara and carbon fiber trim paired with exquisite aluminum details create an atmosphere of luxury and performance.
