Legendary 2010 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport ‘Soleil de Nuit’ to Feature in Upcoming Auction
The automotive world was irrevocably changed in 2005 with the debut of the Bugatti Veyron, named after the distinguished Pierre Veyron, who co-drove the victorious Type 57C Bugatti in the 1939 24 Hours of Le Mans. Upon its release, the Veyron was immediately recognized as the fastest and most expensive production car globally, setting new benchmarks for what a supercar could achieve.

Equipped with a formidable W-16 engine, the Veyron produced an astounding 1,001 horsepower, supported by four turbochargers and air-to-liquid intercoolers. The result was a stunning top speed exceeding 250 MPH, a milestone verified by Volkswagen and later by BBC’s “Top Gear.” Despite its hefty 4,162-pound weight, the Veyron could accelerate from 0 to 60 MPH in just 2.6 seconds, completing a quarter mile in 10.2 seconds at 143 MPH. This unprecedented performance solidified the Veyron’s status as a pinnacle of automotive engineering.
