FYI: Cadillac’s 2025 Escalade with a Sleek Design and Enhanced Features Awaits Enthusiasts
Cadillac recently revealed the much-anticipated 2025 Escalade, but although it’s garnered plenty of excitement, it’s projected to hit showrooms only early next year. This gives potential buyers ample time to prepare financially. The revised third-generation SUV has seen notable updates mid-cycle, driving up costs across various trims. Let’s break down how the new pricing compares to the 2024 model, inclusive of destination charges.
Pricing and Trims
- Luxury: $89,590 (+$5,700)
- Premium Luxury: $98,790 (+$3,600)
- Sport: $99,390 (+$1,200)
- Premium Luxury Platinum: $118,390 (+$5,700)
- Sport Platinum: $118,890 (+$6,200)
- V-Series: $161,990 (+$7,700)
These are the prices for two-wheel-drive editions for every trim except the V-Series, which solely comes in all-wheel drive. Adding 4WD to other trims will set you back an additional $3,000. Although Cadillac hasn’t confirmed extra costs for the extended ESV version for 2025, it was also $3,000 for the 2024 model. Notably, the Sport Platinum trim now costs $500 more than the Premium Luxury Platinum, which previously shared identical pricing.
Under the Hood
Starting from 2024, Cadillac has streamlined the engine options. The turbodiesel inline-six gets dropped, and all trim levels will now feature a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 delivering 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Specifically for the V-Series, this powertrain is supercharged to produce a staggering 682 horsepower and 653 lb-ft of torque.
Interior and Tech Upgrades
So, where is that extra cost going? The 2025 Escalade’s cabin has drawn inspiration from Cadillac’s iQ concept, sporting a sophisticated new interior. It boasts standard 55-inch "pillar-to-pillar" screens for both driver and passenger, integrating a 35-inch instrument cluster and a 20-inch infotainment display. Additionally, there is a "Command Center" screen focused on high-demand controls like heating, cooling, and safety features.
Other notable changes include relocating the automatic gear selector from the center console to a stem-mounted shifter behind the new steering wheel. Features like an auto-opening driver’s door, a power (not automatic) passenger door, and a comprehensive 126-color ambient LED lighting system have been carried over from the iQ. Moreover, Cadillac offers an optional 40-speaker version of their premium AKG audio system.
Stylish Tweaks and New Colors
Fresh styling cues encompass iQ-inspired lighting animations and imposing 24-inch wheels. Cadillac has also introduced three new exterior colors: Aegean Stone (green-grey), Deep Sea Metallic (metallic blue), and Latte Metallic (light bronze). Inside, the palette expands with Renaissance Red and Sheer Grey. The Executive Second Row package enhances the rear seating area with a command display and tray table, while a Carbon Fibre Trim package is now optional for the V-Series.
In summary, the 2025 Escalade is poised to impress with its striking design, advanced tech features, and powerful performance options. For those eager to secure Cadillac’s newest luxury SUV, the wait offers a perfect window to plan finances and be ready for when it finally graces dealerships early next year.
