### Ferrari 335S Triumphs at Salon Privé Concours 2024
A breathtaking 1957 Ferrari 335S has been awarded the highly sought-after Best of Show accolade at this year’s Salon Privé concours. The legendary classic, entered by American car enthusiast Brian Ross, graced Tour Privé on August 27th before captivating an expert jury the following day at the concours.
### Racing Giants: Ferrari 335S Chassis 0674
The celebrated Ferrari 335S (chassis 0674) is steeped in racing heritage. Unveiled by Scuderia Ferrari in 1957, this vehicle quickly established itself as a formidable competitor on the track. Driven by Wolfgang von Trips, it secured second place finishes at both the Sebring 12 Hours and the Mille Miglia. Following some enhancements, the car achieved the fastest lap at Le Mans and nabbed second place at the Caracas 1000. Renowned racer Stirling Moss also piloted this model at the Cuban Grand Prix for Luigi Chinetti’s North American Racing Team.
### A Storied History: Ferrari 335S
The 1957 Ferrari 335S is a crown jewel in automotive history, celebrated for its exceptional design and racing prowess. Crafted by Scaglietti, this model showcases the zenith of Ferrari performance from the late 1950s. With its sleek, aerodynamic silhouette, the 335S embodies the Italian design ethos of speed and endurance. Key design features include a low profile, pronounced front grille, large air intakes, and a streamlined tail.
Underneath its elegant exterior lies a potent 4.1-liter V12 engine—one of Ferrari’s early racing marvels. This powerhouse produces roughly 390 horsepower, a remarkable achievement for its era, propelling the car to speeds in excess of 185 mph (300 km/h).

The Salon Privé concours, held at the majestic Blenheim Palace, saw fierce competition with 72 distinguished international entries. The event was judged by a panel of automotive experts. Second place honors went to Lord Bamford’s 1933 Rolls-Royce Phantom II, a customized masterpiece synonymous with speed and luxury. The third spot was captured by a 1927 Isotta Fraschini Tipo 8AS, originally commissioned by iconic film star Rudolph Valentino. The event spanned various categories, celebrating everything from pre-war classics to modern automotive legends, marking it as one of the most prestigious events so far.
