FYI: The Tesla Cybertruck and Cyberbeast comparison reveals how much extra performance and functionality you get for an additional $39,000.
We went under the hood for you!
What’s the difference between a Cybertruck and a Cyberbeast? With an extra cool name and a $39,000 up-charge over its base starting price of $57,390, it’s left future owners and enthusiasts asking questions today. Before you click to order and secure your allocation for Tesla’s first EV pickup truck, let us break down the key differences to help make your decision even easier.
Performance
Sporting the same futuristic look across the entire Cybertruck series, Tesla has honed in on performance and functionality upgrades. Both vehicles feature a wedge-shaped, stainless-steel design, with some variation in wheel options. The standard Cybertruck comes with a respectable 600 horsepower dual-motor system that caps its speed at 112 mph. The Cyberbeast, however, amps things up with an 845 horsepower tri-motor, providing 50% more acceleration g-force. This translates to a scorching 0-60 mph time of just 2.6 seconds for the Cyberbeast, whereas the Cybertruck clocks in at 4.1 seconds. The Cyberbeast is equipped with a BEAST Mode, paying homage to the infamous Ludicrous Mode found in Tesla’s Model S and X. Yet, with great power comes less range; thus, the Cybertruck edges ahead with a 340-mile range compared to the Cyberbeast’s 320-mile capacity.
Functionality
When it comes to practicality, Tesla showcases its functional prowess. Designed to handle the day-to-day tasks of a traditional pickup truck, the all-wheel-drive (AWD) Cybertruck boasts both front and rear-locking differentials and individual wheel torque vectoring, pushing its towing capacity to a robust 11,000 lbs. On the other hand, the Cyberbeast is fitted only with a front-locking differential but can still tow an identical weight due to its tri-motor’s 10,296 lb-ft of torque. Whether you prioritize performance or prefer to be more range-conscious, choosing between the Tesla Cybertruck and Cyberbeast remains a win-win decision for any truck enthusiast.
