FYI: Tesla’s Gigafactory in Texas is showing significant progress in Cybertruck production, as evidenced by nearly 1,000 units ready for transport. Stay updated with our expert insights.
Tesla Cybertruck Production Ramps Up at Giga Texas
Tesla’s ability to turn the seemingly impossible into reality has once again been highlighted with the production ramp-up of the long-awaited Cybertruck. Once accused of being mere vaporware due to numerous delays, the Cybertruck is now materializing in significant numbers at Tesla’s Gigafactory in Texas (Giga Texas). Recent footage from the facility indicates substantial progress, with almost 1,000 Cybertrucks spotted in the west outbound lot, ready for transport.
Drone Footage Confirms Ramp-Up
Longtime Tesla observer and YouTube content creator Joe Tegtmeyer recently shared drone footage capturing the bustling activity at Giga Texas. The increasing number of Cybertrucks being produced suggests that Tesla is well into the production ramp of its all-electric pickup truck. Tegtmeyer’s keen observations have been a valuable resource in tracking the progress of the facility since its inception.
Intriguing Transport Methods
Among the nearly 1,000 Cybertrucks seen at the facility, Tegtmeyer pointed out an interesting detail: while most vehicles were being loaded onto traditional car carrier trailers, some were being transported using covered trailers. The reasons behind this divergence in transport methods have not been disclosed by Tesla, adding an element of intrigue to the operation.
"… Cybertrucks massing in huge numbers at Giga Texas … not sure why so many are stacking up here, but nearly 1,000 visible today. Some are being loaded into covered trailer trucks."

Ongoing Construction and Activity
The drone footage also reveals that the Giga Texas complex is buzzing with various construction projects, including a new tunnel being built by The Boring Company. This continued expansion and activity underscore Tesla’s commitment to scaling its operations and infrastructure.
Future Demand and the Foundation Series
As Tesla improves its production proficiency with the Cybertruck, market anticipation is building. The demand for the Cybertruck is expected to surge, particularly once the Foundation Series, which currently adds a $20,000 premium to the base cost of the All Wheel Drive (AWD) and Tri-Motor Cyberbeast models, concludes. Industry insiders forecast that the Foundation Series will wrap up in the coming months, potentially triggering a spike in consumer interest.
