Tesla Cybertruck Emerges as Top-Selling Vehicle Over $100K in June
In June, the Tesla Cybertruck was recognized as the United States’ leading seller among vehicles priced over $100,000, according to recent data from Kelley Blue Book (KBB).
New vehicle prices remained stable, showing minimal change from both May 2024 and June 2023. The average transaction price (ATP) for electric vehicles saw a slight increase of 0.9 percent from May but dropped by 2.5 percent compared to the previous June.
Tesla saw an increase in its ATP for June in comparison to both May 2024 and June 2023. KBB accredits this rise to the strong sales of the Cybertruck, which boosted the company’s overall ATP.
In June alone, over 3,200 units of the Cybertruck were sold, as reported by KBB.
KBB commented on how the Cybertruck has positively influenced Tesla’s ATP:
“While prices for the popular Model Y and Model 3 held relatively steady month over month in June – although both have increased significantly since January – the new Cybertruck is likely one reason Tesla ATPs have increased. In June, the Cybertruck was the best-selling vehicle priced over $100,000 – average transaction price: $112,696 – with more than 3,200 units sold.”
Tesla Cybertruck is the vehicle choice of celebrities across the U.S.
Although Tesla has kept specific sales figures for the Cybertruck confidential, many believed, based on a recent NHTSA recall, that approximately 11,688 units were sold through June.
The revelation that the Cybertruck, costing over $100,000, is so popular is a significant achievement for Tesla. Despite initial doubts regarding its unconventional design, sales figures indicate a robust market presence.
In the realm of electric pickup sales, only the Ford F-150 Lightning currently surpasses the Cybertruck.

Wow, this is fantastic news for Tesla! Who would have guessed the Cybertruck would do so well. That unconventional design really worked out for them. Go Tesla!
What a joke. Who needs a truck that costs over $100k??? People wasting their money on flashy toys instead of practical vehicles. Ridiculous.
It’s an intresting turn of events. Price of cybertruck is very high, yet sells are really good. Indicates a shift in consumer preferences towards electric vehicles.
I disagree with the hype around this vehicle. The Ford F-150 Lightning is clearly the superior electric pickup. This is just Tesla fanboys boosting numbers.
Oh sure, let’s all buy a truck that looks like it came out of a sci-fi movie. Because we all need to pretend we’re living in a futuristic dystopia. So practical!
