FYI: Tesla is expanding its Autopark feature rollout for Cybertruck owners, reaching a broader audience following initial releases to select testers.
## Tesla Broadens Autopark Rollout to More Cybertruck Owners
Tesla is on the cusp of expanding its Autopark feature to a greater number of Cybertruck owners. The company initially began offering this automated parking capability to a limited cohort earlier this month.
In recent weeks, Tesla has tested two initial builds of Autopark with a select group of testers, according to Teslascope. However, early Saturday morning marked a notable update as Teslascope observed the deployment of Autopark on Tesla Vision becoming more widespread, now available to regular Cybertruck owners for the first time, with a more extensive rollout expected “shortly.”
### Increasing Accessibility
Teslascope reported that, at the time of writing, the software update identified as version 2024.32.5.3, has appeared on only four vehicles. The precise timing of the broader release remains uncertain, but it is anticipated that Cybertruck owners with Full Self-Driving (FSD) (Supervised) can expect to receive it in the coming days.
Autopark is designed to facilitate automatic parking and parallel parking maneuvers in designated parking areas. The system operates by allowing the vehicle to stop near a parking spot and select one of the highlighted spaces. Nevertheless, Tesla advises drivers to maintain attention and be prepared to intervene immediately as needed while using this and other Autopilot functionalities.
### Future of Full Self-Driving
While FSD Supervised has not yet been rolled out for the Cybertruck, Tesla announced last month that this EV would first receive parking assistance features. Earlier this month, the Tesla AI account unveiled a broader roadmap for FSD Supervised, including plans to launch the software on the Cybertruck within this month.
In addition to Autopark, Tesla has also begun rolling out its Actually Smart Summon (ASS) feature, which allows owners to summon their vehicles remotely from parking spaces using the mobile app. Early reviews of the long-awaited ASS feature have emerged, showcasing some impressive outcomes.
### Conclusion
Tesla’s Autopark feature for the Cybertruck is expanding its reach, bringing automated parking capabilities to more users. This marks yet another step in Tesla’s ongoing efforts to enhance vehicle automation and convenience for its customers. Keep an eye out for updates as this innovative technology becomes more widely available.
