## Tesla Navigation Adds Two New Features to Simplify Finding Points of Interest

This comes on the heels of another recent update that added more accurate construction area information to its navigation routes.
### Enhanced Live Traffic Visualization
With the latest update, Tesla’s Live Traffic Visualization, which is a part of the Premium Connectivity subscription, now includes icons indicating specific slowdowns rather than just a generic alert. This improvement provides drivers with more detailed information about traffic conditions, allowing for better route planning.
### Two New Navigation Features
Two additional features will soon be available with Update 2024.32, further optimizing in-car navigation.
#### Predictive Text for Faster Searches
One of the new features is Predictive Text for Navigation. As reported by Not a Tesla App, this functionality will suggest locations and points of interest based on partially typed queries. This smart addition will make it quicker to find desired destinations like restaurants, parks, or other attractions, especially those located close to the vehicle's current position.
#### "Search This Area" Function
The second feature, akin to a popular Google Maps option, is the “Search This Area” feature. This allows users to zoom in or out on the navigation map and pinpoint various points of interest within the adjusted area. This can be particularly beneficial when navigating through an unfamiliar region, helping users discover potential spots for dining, shopping, or leisure activities.
### Release and Testing
