The week began with enthusiasts sharing videos of a Tesla Semi on German highways. Initially, social media posts depicted a single Tesla Semi being transported on a trailer along the Autobahn in western Germany. Soon after, it was confirmed that two such vehicles were being moved simultaneously.
### Drone Footage Captures the Moment
Tobias Lindh, a longtime follower of developments at Giga Berlin, took to the skies with his drone shortly after these sightings. His footage unveiled the remarkable scene of two white, sleek Tesla Semi trucks being carefully unloaded from their transport trailers. These vehicles bore the distinctive look of the fleet currently utilized in the United States.
### Anticipation for IAA Transportation 2024
While Tesla has yet to officially comment on the Semis’ relocation to Germany, speculation is rife that these trucks will take center stage at the IAA Transportation 2024 trade show. This prestigious event is slated to occur from September 17 to 22, 2024, in Hannover, Germany. The event’s organizers had previously confirmed Tesla’s participation.
### Preparations for a European Launch
Tesla appears poised for a grand European debut of the Semi. In line with this, the company recently advertised a vacancy for a Head of Business Development – Semi Truck EMEA on its Careers site. This role is aimed at engaging potential European clients, understanding their unique requirements, and tailoring the Semi’s capabilities to meet demand.
