FYI: YouTuber Mat Armstrong has spectacularly restored Marcus Rashford’s mangled Rolls-Royce, transforming it into a stunning masterpiece.
### The Herculean Task of Rebuilding Rashford’s Rolls-Royce
Mat Armstrong, a popular automotive YouTuber, has achieved a monumental feat by fully rebuilding Marcus Rashford’s wrecked Rolls-Royce. Armstrong acquired the severely damaged Mansory Black Badge Wraith at an auction in April for a hefty $240,624. The luxury car had been written off due to a collision that caused extensive damage to its left side.
### The Exhausting Journey to Restore the Wraith
Describing the project as his ‘biggest challenge yet,’ Armstrong’s dedication is evident. To bring the car back to its former glory, he and his team required parts from another Rolls-Royce, making this restoration job particularly complex.
The painstaking restoration process saw Armstrong effectively create a Frankenstein’s Monster of a car, albeit a much more visually pleasing version. The final product, combining parts from different sources, stands as a testament to his skills and determination.
### Significant Investments and Efforts
The original Wraith was a substantial investment for Marcus Rashford, costing him $915,446. To execute the restoration, Armstrong spent approximately $183,000: $117,700 on another Rolls-Royce for spare parts and $65,389 on a Mansory upgrade for the interior.
Whether the sweat and financial outlay will pay off remains to be seen. The final selling price of this beautifully restored car is eagerly awaited by automotive enthusiasts.
### Fans’ Overwhelming Praise
Mat Armstrong’s fans have showered him with praise for the meticulous restoration. Comments like “This is definitely your magnum opus” and “Utterly off the scale achievement” highlight the appreciation for his dedication and craftsmanship.
Some fans even jested that Marcus Rashford might want the newly-refurbished car back now that it looks as good as, if not better than, before. Since the wreck in September 2023, Rashford has replaced the damaged Wraith with another high-end model, costing him $800,000.
