ZEEKR Unveils New 7X SUV: A Global Electric Contender
Chinese automaker ZEEKR has officially named its second mass-market Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), previously codenamed "CX1e," as the 7X. Following the camouflaged images released just 24 hours ago, the company has now provided a first clean look at the family-oriented SUV along with detailed specifications.
Insight into the 7X: ZEEKR’s Latest BEV
Yesterday, we reported on the emergence of camouflaged images of ZEEKR’s upcoming all-electric SUV, set to be the company’s sixth model in just three years. The initial images showcased a sleek, five-seat SUV adorned with a unique camouflage wrap.
ZEEKR vice president Lin Jinwen had hinted that the wrap’s lettering would reveal the new model’s name, suggesting that an "X" would play a significant role. Today, ZEEKR has confirmed that their new SUV will indeed be called the 7X, making it official.
First Look at the Unveiled 7X SUV
ZEEKR has shared the first official image of the 7X SUV without camouflage, highlighting its robust and futuristic rear design. Here’s a snapshot of the key specifications:
- Length: 4,825mm
- Width: 1,930mm
- Height: 1,656mm
- Wheelbase: 2,925mm
These dimensions make the 7X taller, longer, and with a wider wheelbase compared to the ZEEKR X SUV, which started production in China almost a year ago. Positioned on Geely’s Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) platform, the 7X is ZEEKR’s second-largest model, just behind the 009 MPV.
Expanding to Global Markets
The 7X will not only be ZEEKR’s latest addition to their portfolio but also its second model aimed at the global BEV market. Therefore, it’s expected to be available in Europe following its official launch later this year. While performance details remain sparse, ZEEKR has promised to release more images and information in the coming week.

I agree! The dimensions are promising, seem like a spacious and powerful vehicle.
Well, as long as it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, I’m in!
Anoter electric car from China. Yawn. Do we really need more of these?
You’re right, Lucy. It’s becoming hard to tell them apart anymore.
I think its amazing how much progress ZEEKR has made in just three years. Their cars are really becoming global contenders.
It’s not about quantity, it’s about quality. Let’s see how 7X holds up.
I’m cautiously optimistic. They’ve got good specs but let’s see some real-world performance data.
Oh great, another overhyped car from China making its way to Europe. Maybe they’ll at least get the marketing right this time.
The 7X dimensions: length of 4,825mm, width of 1,930mm, height of 1,656mm. Bet it’ll be fun tryin’ to park that beast!
Haha, exactly Isla! I hope it comes with some next-level parking sensors!
If it’s anything like their previous models, it’ll be a tight fit in most garages.
